I thought since everything is currently Membros oriented that I would run this post again. Originally this post was a Header Follow up. Because I had the picture up on the Cover Page, I didnt put it into the post. I have changed that and am rerunning the post again and have included the picture into the post now since it isnt on the cover page to reference.
The direct link to the post is on the right side labelled "Bloodworm Membros" or here is the link

Bioscan Membros
When I rediscovered Micronauts and joined Micropolis Embassy when it first started, I was a very naive collector who knew absolutely nothing concerning the history of the Micronauts or the people who created and collected them. This was a cause for some eyebrows over what I am sure to some of the more knowledgeable collectors were 'stupid questions' and more than a few good laughs for the same.
Streamlining, another collector teamed up with Palisades and offered a rare collectors figure for the online group Micropolis Embassy members. This figure has more than its fare share of layers in the story. Finally a new Micronaut to open and play with and it finally arrives and...
And it gets stuck on the west coast sitting in a warehouse because of a dockers strike. Then the Figure was made in the wrong colors. Collectors were in a frenzy. When all was said and done, Palisades started selling the remaining figures on Ebay and they were also including 'Authenticity Certificates'. Not knowing any better, I asked in the group why Palisades was including these certificates but we in the group didnt get them. Looking back...yeah...it was/is a laughable question. And thanks to the collectors of that time for restraining their laughter as well as they did.
In response to my question, Acroray, group moderator issued me this certificate of authenticity. A joke it may have been, but it in itself has earned a place of collectibility and a spot on my wall. Not to mention, a business company also picked up Ray's little characture and made it their company seal.

KABONGO- Fan Day
This post is WAYYYYY OT...
Toady was Fan Day for the Edmonton Eskimos Football Team. A chance for the people to meet the players and cheerleaders. I kept my seats. This will be the 3rd year and I dont see myself giving up those seats for quite a few years.
So today I went down to the Stadium to check it out. I got to meet all the cheerleaders :~) I got my calendar signed by most of them. They are everywhere, so I think I missed a couple. I have a Grey Cup 98 hat so I brought it along. The 98 refers to the number of Grey Cups, not the year. Its last years hat.
After a scrimmage the players made themselves available for autographs and pictures. I had a blast. Kabongo is my favorite player. Right Guard is where he has been playing. A fantastic role model. I was able to get my picture with him. He lost 76 pounds in the off season. This guy is HUGE. Notice he has to bend down to be in the picture with me. I picked up a couple of jerseys as well.
The Edmonton Eskimos have the BEST Cheerleading squad in the country. I couldnt believe how tiny they are. But to do all that acrobatics in the air, I guess tiny women are easier to catch. Almost all of them are around 5' in height.
All in all it was an awesome time. I need to get out to more of these events.

Dave Doorman Emperor Pencil Sketch Art
The front cover of Homeworld currently features a Pencil Sketch Art of the Emperor by Dave Dorman. This is the original pencil sketch that was made before he did the Emperor painting that was used by Palisades for the 2002 Micronaut Release. The actual painting itself was given away and was not offered for sale. So this was the best I could manage. Still a very impressive piece and one I am very glad to own.
